展览主题 Exhibition Theme:

X代表着未知的世界，
X代表着文化的交错与沟通，
X代表着延伸的无限可能性，
X代表着无解的答案。
在同一时空内，
我们把11位东西方年轻设计师的作品统一呈现，
希望能带来X般的未知的反应和回响。

X展的展示形式正如展览的名字X，
寓意着所有参与到本次展览中的人们都能够获取无穷尽的思想和创意力量，
也为每一个来参观展览的人提供自由行走和思考的空间，
使大家从一个不可预料的展览中预见到一种可猜想的未来设计流向。
“X”它不单单是一个把东西方的设计师、设计文化连接起来的符号，
也象征一个让所有参与者在一起碰撞出火花，
带来惊喜与思考的未知领域。

X represents the unknown world, the staggered cultural communication,
the extension of the unlimited possibilities and the answer to the unresolved symbol.
We show 11 east & west designers’ works in the same space simultaneously and hope to bring all of us a “X” feedback and further thinking.

The display forms of X Exhibition wish to imply that all the visitors could absorb endless ideas and creative power through the interactive process.
Ultimately, an unpredictable future of design could be appreciated around the freely walking space.

“X” not only means a symbol to connect east & west designers with the culture behind it,
but also a sign of leading direction to unknown world which is full of surprise and inspiration.

展览介绍 Exhibition Introduction:

“X展” 是GDC平面设计在中国的外围展，
由平面设计在中国07展的5位评委，
由GDC国际评委（美国 Michael Rock、英国 David Ellis、日本新村则人 Norito Shinmura、
中国香港李永铨 Tommy Li、中国大陆陈绍华 Chen Shaohua）
推荐的11位各国年轻设计师的作品所组成，
组委会在接受他们做为GDC国际评委身份的同时，
目光也转向评委身边嘉许的设计师，
希望通过多层面的交流带给大家多角度的思考。
参展的11位设计师代表着设计领域不同领域的顶尖发展趋势和方向，
参展作品涉及空间，多媒体数字技术，装置，影像，实验音乐，产品设计，海报设计，书籍装桢和动画等.

“X Exhibition” ，hosted by Sense Media Institution，
is one of the branches of GDC serial activities. All the 10 exhibitors are recommended by 2007 GDC international judges
(Michael Rock, David Ellis, Norito Shinmura, Tommy Li, Chen Shaohua).
While accepting them as the status of international judges,
organizers also pay closer attention to the recommended young designers and hope to put forward viewpoints in different aspects through multi-level exchanges.
All the 10 young exhibitors represent leading trends of design in various fields.
The exhibits conclude space; installation; movie; music; graphic design; illustration; book design; cartoon and so on.

Linked by Air is the graphic design partnership of Tamara Maletic and Dan Michaelson.
Their approach is practical, hands-on and collaborative.
They are experienced in several media, including print, online, and installations in the environment.
They specialize in the design and production of public space, both physical and online.
They often experiment programming in-house so that design and technology are intertwined in inventive processes.

西蒙·皮克 Simon Keep

声音艺术家

曾任SOHO和750MPH的声音设计师。
擅长编辑，搜录情景声音、人声和自然的声音并以电子混音方式多轨编制；
为多部电影和动画配音；制作各种大型实验声音装置项目；
在孟斐斯、维也纳、荷兰等地参与多次音乐秀和音乐节等活动。
成立独立声音制作公司后，面向客户包括Saab, Nike, Intro和Why Not Associates.

Sound designer

Editing, recording foley, dialogue, location sound and creating a multi-channel soundtrack;
Create sound design works for short films, motion graphics and installations.
After two years working in SOHO for the Sound Designers and 750 MPH,
he set up his own sound company working for clients such as Saab, Nike, Intro,
and Why Not Associates.
He also exhibited sound installations and performed internationally in Memphis,
Vienna and Holland.
